A) Allie to my father and friends. Always Alice to my mother.

A) My parents are Dad and Mother in “Anacacho.” The author didn’t give them first names.

A) Candles? I’m in my early thirties.

A) No, no pets.

A) I’m 5 foot 9 ½ .

A) My hair is just plain mousy brown. It frizzes in the humidity. I’m always using relaxers on it.

A) Being An Assistant DA is okay. I’d rather have a more exciting job like my friend Duncan Bruce. He’s in fraud and always has interesting cases. Though I love to research cases, I can’t prosecute them because I suffer from stage fright.
